Toxic chemical exposure: OSHA issues carbon monoxide alert

In the wake of three separate incidents this summer involving overexposure of employees to carbon monoxide in the Portland area alone, Oregon OSHA has issued an advisory to employers. The concern was voiced for employees operating gas powered equipment in the performance of their work duties, particularly in confined spaces. Toxic chemical exposure is a threat to the safety of workers, and those exposed to it can quickly become nauseous, suffer from headaches and even suffer death under severe circumstances.

Fatal Oregon car accident leaves woman dead

For some drivers in Oregon, traveling behind a slower vehicle on a small, rural road can be stressful. In these situations, some attempt to pass the vehicle in front of them, even without a passing lane. Choosing to pass in a no passing zone may have been the cause of a fatal car accident that occurred recently on Highway 228.

Oregon car accident on Interstate 101 leads to injuries

Attempting to safely pass other vehicles on the highway can be dangerous. When the unimaginable occurs, serious accidents can result. Such is the case in one recent car accident which left several people suffering from injuries ranging from minor to severe when a car trying to pass a commercial vehicle on Oregon's Highway 101 crashed before completing the pass.

Oregon motorcycle accident sends 2 to hospital and 1 to jail

In the nighttime hours, a two-vehicle accident has sent two people to the hospital and one to the county lockup. According to Oregon police, the accident occurred around 11 p.m. when a pickup, driven by a 28-year-old man, pulled into the path of a motorcycle. As a result of the motorcycle accident, both the driver of the motorcycle and his passenger were thrown from the bike.

Suh sued for $1 million by passenger injured in car accident

A professional football player best known for aggressively intimidating the offense on the field has been sued for allegedly intimidating a passenger in his vehicle. Ndamukong Suh, a graduate of Grant High School in Portland, Oregon, was in his hometown in December when he was the driver in a one-vehicle car accident. One of his passengers alleges that she sustained injuries in the accident, but Suh refused emergency treatment for her and later allegedly offered her money.
