Also, during law school Mr. Schoenfeld clerked in several local New York law firms, learning the ropes and learning how to litigate cases.

While in law school, Steven met his future wife and law partner to be, Karen, and they moved to Portland, Oregon in 1990. Once in Oregon, Steven began working on personal injury cases and workers' compensation cases for another firm. After approximately one year he set out on his own litigating personal injury and workers' compensation cases.

Since approximately 1990, Mr. Schoenfeld has been specializing in these types of cases. In approximately 1995 his practice became more focused on workers' compensation and employment discrimination cases. Mr. Schoenfeld has authored several publications dealing with Oregon workers' compensation laws. He has been a featured speaker at legal seminars for both lawyers and judges dealing with issues relating to workers' compensation.
