Karen Schoenfeld graduated from St. Johns University School of Law in New York City. After working on Wall Street, she moved to Portland, Oregon to pursue her life’s passions. Since 1992 she has dedicated her professional time to representing the rights of those who are seriously injured in accidents through no fault of their own. She has successfully represented over the years, literally thousands of injury victims from all over the country. While most of her cases were settled with the adverse party’s insurance company, she has also tried many cases over the years to a jury. She strongly believes that part of being a trial lawyer means going to trial when it is necessary to protect the full rights of her clients. She is proud of both her settlements and her large jury verdicts.

Karen also has a side specialty of suing her client’s PIP carriers when they refuse to pay for their medical bills. She gets referrals from doctors and clients because of her aggressive position with regard to insurance companies. When not practicing law, Karen enjoys spending time with her family, painting, reading, cross country skiing, and riding her bicycle in the Columbia River gorge area. She recently organized, along with some friends, a group called the SheBikes dedicated to exploring, on bike, the wonders of the Pacific Northwest.
