Several injured in four-car crash

On Behalf of | Oct 3, 2011 | Car Accidents |

In a recent car accident in Multnomah County, a driver traveling too fast on the wet roadway lost control of her car and caused a four-car accident on Interstate 205. The 20-year-old driver from Portland spun around in her Toyota, crossed a median and ended up positioned perpendicular to the highway. Police say she was on the curve of an on-ramp when she lost control.

She was immediately broadsided by a Ford sport utility vehicle, which caused her vehicle to crash into a Mitsubishi driven by a 33-year-old Woodburn man. Police say the fourth vehicle involved, a Subaru, swerved to avoid hitting the Toyota but was unable to do so. The driver of the Toyota and her 15-year-old passenger were taken to Oregon Health and Science University Hospital with minor injuries.

According to authorities, the Mitsubishi driver and his 72-year-old passenger were taken to Providence Milwaukee Hospital with minor injuries as well. It is unclear if the SUV driver suffered any injuries in the accident. Police say all northbound lanes of Interstate 205 were closed, as well as the ramp, while crews worked to help victims and clean up the scene.

The victims in this accident may be faced with immediate and ongoing medical bills. Lawyers in Multnomah County are experienced in personal injury law and may be able to help the victims in receiving some financial compensation for their injuries. No one should have to suffer from the negligent behavior of another person and may be entitled to damages stemming from this or any other car accident.
