Many people in Oregon are aware that buying a car can be a stressful experience. What they may not know is the danger of being in a car dealership n some instances. Now, one local man is in the hospital recovering after a car accident in a local dealership.

According to a report from Oregon officials, an elderly man decided to buy a used Lexus car from a dealership located just south of Milwaukie. After the transaction was complete, the man left the dealership, as would be expected in such matters. However, it appears that no one showed the man how to use his new vehicle.

This is apparent due to the fact that the man put his car into reverse by mistake as he attempted to leave the dealership. When he hit the gas pedal, the car drove through the wall of the dealership. It hit a desk and the man sitting behind it before coming to a rest.

The injured victim had to be taken to the Oregon Health and Science University Hospital for medical care. There his injuries were listed as including chest pains. It is unclear if he will remain the hospital for an extended period of time as he recovers.

Now, Oregon police are left to work to find out exactly why the car drove through the dealership wall. This effort will continue as the victim works to recover from his injuries. As he does, he may consider filing a personal injury claim against the driver who caused his injuries in the car accident. Such a claim could include the costs associated with the victim’s pain and suffering, lost wages and other damages. Such clams are common in these types of car accident cases when people are injured as a result of the actions of another.
