In the nighttime hours, a two-vehicle accident has sent two people to the hospital and one to the county lockup. According to Oregon police, the accident occurred around 11 p.m. when a pickup, driven by a 28-year-old man, pulled into the path of a motorcycle. As a result of the motorcycle accident, both the driver of the motorcycle and his passenger were thrown from the bike.

The driver of the motorcycle, who has been identified as a 47-year-old man, suffered a broken ankle. Meanwhile, his passenger, a 44-year-old woman, suffered back injuries. Both were transported to a local hospital and remained there overnight.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken into custody by police. He has been charged with several criminal offenses including DUI and second- degree assault. Bail was not immediately issued for the man, and it is not clear at this time when he will be brought to court to face the charges.

Fortunately for the victims involved in this crash, the injuries sustained due to the motorcycle accident do not appear to be life-threatening. However, this accident did not come without substantial injuries being suffered. If the allegations issued by the Oregon police are proven, and the driver of the pickup truck is in fact guilty of the charges levied against him, the victims may be able to use this evidence to their advantage. By seeking the right advice, an effective case may be presented that may allow both victims to recover compensation for all the damages they suffered as a result of this accident.
